The objective of Breakfast Club is to allow players to continue their development with a focus on key execution points of the essential skills (skating, stickhandling, shooting) needed to be an effective hockey player. The process of becoming an effective hockey player begins with building a foundation for players' individual skill sets that translate to game situations. Without having a solid foundation to build from, players are training with little to no purpose and a player’s development will plateau. The philosophy behind these sessions is to evaluate players on an individual basis and design a program to produce high-performing players. This includes consistent contact with the player. Coach Justin will work with players to educate them on the importance of nutrition, recovery, off-ice training, and the mental focus/preparation that is required to be an effective athlete.
Essential to development is the continued, daily, weekly, monthly work that ultimately produces results. In order to ensure that players are following this proven development path, Breakfast Club participants will be given "homework", a series of drills they need to do at home, on their own, and because we also want to make sure parents are "getting their value" - we ask that the player's parent certify that the "homework" has been accomplished.
We also want to make it easy & comfortable for parents bringing their kids to the Breakfast Club, so bring your mug, bring your laptop, and we'll have free coffee, and space set up so you too can maximize your time.
*Breakfast Club is a monthly membership, you will be charged on the date you register each month.*
